New Job Opportunity – Operations Manager

Kovena is a high-growth global payments company operating in the travel and accommodation space. We partner with hotel software companies to provide their hotel customers a frictionless payment experience.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different business units. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in related fields.

Fully Remote Role open for Experienced Operations Manager worldwide.

 

Responsibilities

 

Merchant Onboarding

  – Build and lead team

  – Manage on-boarding vendor SLA’s

  – Process creation/continuous improvement

  – Monitoring

  – Review and approve on-boarding applications, including KYC verification – where outside standard forward to CEO or Head of Payments and Compliance for secondary review and approval/decline

  – Provide onboarding support to onboarding vendors, resellers, and merchants

 

Transaction / Settlement Monitoring and Disbursement

  – Review transaction processing and settlements looking for unusual or outside-of-policy activity

  – Escalate where outside of policy

  – Generate disbursements for approval

 

Reporting

  – Collate transactional and settlement data

  – Generate internal transaction, revenue, profit and settlement reporting

  – Plan, direct, control, implement, evaluate, monitor, and forecast budgets and cost of sales to achieve financial objectives

 

Support

  – Build and lead team

  – Process creation/continuous improvement

  – Monitoring and reporting for support trends

  – Provide general support to on-boarding vendors, resellers and merchants

  – Undertake Support for customer onboarding, transaction, settlement and reconciliation enquiries

 

Chargeback and Fraud Management

  – Build and lead team

  – Process creation/continuous improvement

  – Manage the chargeback process and SLA’s with Schemes, Acquirers, Resellers and Merchants

  – Monitoring and reporting of fraud and and chargeback rates and where appropriate highlight to CEO or Head of Payments and Compliance any unusual activity for fraud analysis

  – Provide chargeback and fraud management support to Acquirers, Resellers and Merchants

  – Role up your sleeves and be willing to get things done

 

Qualifications

  – Minimum of 7 years professional experience preferably in a same role.

  – Experience in process development and management

  – Experience with Data Visualization Tools such as Google Data Studio

  – Background in banking, payments or financial services

  – Preferred background in startups or consulting

  – Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  – Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

  – Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.

  – Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  – Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.

  – Extremely proficient in Excel
